Creating educational videos for coaches and youth to help assist in proper sprinting form. Through this I have learned how to simplify complex topics for easier understanding.
Force velocity analysis
A brief discussion on how force and velocity are related and affect each other. Through this project I expanded my knowledge on the relationship of force and velocity which has assisted me and my training modalities. This project also helped me improve on my team building, having to constantly communicate with my group.
Force & fatigue relationship
Through this lab project, me and my group breakdown the results and science behind force and fatigue. What we observe further increased my knowledge on understanding how fatigue affects the body. Having done this lab I have gained a greater understanding of different training styles and exercises to maximize force production and minimize fatigue.
GLA:D Program pamphlet
This pamphlet was completed as part of my internship at the Ford Performance centre. The Live Active Sport Medicine clinic inside the Ford performance centre is one of the only places in Toronto that offers the GLA:D Program. Through my research for this pamphlet I learned how important it is to train and strengthen our bodies. Through training we can mitigate or prevent osteoarthritis pain and possibly joint replacement.
Pre-service fire aerobic fitness test assessor
During this extracurricular activity I was tasked to assess and analyze the results achieved by the firefighters. During this experience I was able to practice taking blood pressure and using a metabolic cart to track ventilation and VO2. I also had the opportunity to participate in the test, successfully passing.
